A qualified, dedicated and experienced person working from more than 10 years in developmental sector, during this course I have worked with several donors from different platforms like World Bank, Asian Development Bank, PDMA, NDMA, NDRMF, ADPC, ECHO, START Network, UNDP and other donor agencies. Currently I am working with International Rescue Comitte (IRC) as Manager Projects, leading flood response all over pakistan. I have led several emergency responses i.e (Floods 2022, Floods 2020, Hernai Earthquake 2021, COVID-19) along with development projects of thematic areas (WASH, FSL, DRR/DRM and climate change). I have worked closely with Government stakeholders specifically PDMAs and Rescue 1122 (Baluchistan Punjab, Sindh, AJ&K) allowing me to better understand their emergency response and relief mechanism in different terrains and conditions of Pakistan. In practical, I utilized my In-depth experience in humanitarian affairs, implementation, data collection, management, research and report writing, to ensure all vulnerable communities and those at risk have access to basic services such as: sanitation, shelter, food, water,educationand health facilities. As a humanitarian staff, I conduct myself in a way which is acceptable to the community, ensuring acceptability and adaptation to the community.
Currently leading Early Recovery & Rehabilitation in 04 provinces of Pakistan Amounting 15 Million USD. My role includes;
1) Review workplans and provide technical backstopping whenever required,
2) Oversee monthly BVA’s and guide teams for appropriate actions ensuring 95-100% burn rates for each project
3) Coordination with provincial team, partners, and other stake holders,
4) Ensuring smooth implementation of project activities by supporting provincial team and partners,
5) Review situation reports based on data received from provincial team and partners,
6) Participate in meetings and represent IRC on different forums,
7) Present all the projects in SMT and take required actions for quality implementation,
8) Over see situation reports and support AMU in devising response plans/project proposals,
() Formulate reports for donor agencies (SIDA, FCDO, Melinda & Gates, IRISH embassy, EU, ECHO, DEC, etc) and ensure timely submission
Managing flood response projects in 04 provinces of pakistan i.e approx. 30 million USD. responsible for smooth implementation and coordination with provincial/district level team, Implementing partners and other stake holders.
Muslim Aid is a registered British non-profit organization which was established in the UK in 1985 and is working globally in 11 countries. The organization works to serve humanity and relieve poverty, through its socio-economic projects for WASH, education, livelihoods and health, whilst also aiming to respond to emergencies within 72 hours regardless of race, religion or gender.
Emergency Response & Rehabilitation:
1. Pakistan Floods 2022 (START Network): Currently leading emergency response in 03 districts of Baluchistan (Killa Saifullah, Muslim Bagh and Quetta) managing a portfolio of PKR 90 million and a team of 08 members, integrated support is being assured to the most affected communities (3,000 HHs) by provision of Multi-purpose Cash, Shelter, WASH and other NFIs. The relief is supposed to be provided in 60 days.
2. Gwadar Flood 2022 (START Network): led emergency response in district Gwadar with the support of START Network, ensured relief to the affected community by provision of Shelter and NFIs. Managed a portfolio of PKR 15 million and team of 08 staff members. the relief was provided to 700 HHs in 45 days.
3. Hernai Earthquake 2022 (MA- UK): led emergency response and rehabilitation, managed a portfolio of PKR 35 million and a team of 06 members. relief was provided in initial 30 days whereas rehabilitation was ensured in 05 months by ensuring sustainable shelter and FSL, WASH activities.
4. Flood Response 2020 (MA-UK): Overall designing and implementation of project in Mirpurkhas, 1100 HHs were provided relief in terms of NFIs and Food items. 5) COVID- 19 (8.8 Million) : led a total portfolio of PKR 80 million, relief was provided by distribution of food items to vulnerable families of selected districts of all four provinces.
5. COVID – 19: led a total portfolio of 120 million for a total of 6 months, vulnerable communities were provided with immediate support in form of food items, whereas strengthening of health facilities was ensured by provision of medical equipment, access to sanitation facilities at public places and provision of PPE kits.
Development Projects:
1. Integrated Support for sustainable livelihoods and improved nutrition and WASH services” (MA-UK) (PKR 60 million) (KPK & Gilgit Baltistan)
· Take overall project lead, manage 12 team members to ensure smooth implementation of project activities
· Formulation of detailed implementation plan for project
· Coordination with Government departments and stakeholders
· Recruitment of project staff (16 members)

2. Building Resilience by Strengthening the Community through Inclusive Disaster Risk Management (NDRMF) (PKR 400 million)
· Coordination with Government departments, seeking necessary approvals and establishing DRMC on district and Union council level
· Improving resilience of communities by training UCDMC, VDMCs and SDMCs on CBDRM
· Improving resilience and reduction of climate threats through construction of infrastructure i.e flood protection walls and water reservoirs
· Devising disaster management plans at UC and Village level.
3. Youth Climate Change Initiative (MA-UK) (PKR 4.2 million)
· Coordination and signing MoU with MOCC
· Establishing partnership with universities across Pakistan
· Organizing Youth Innovation Climate Change Challenge
· Organizing low-cost climate adaptation solutions workshop
· Facilitation of students and winning teams for seed funding and implementation of pilot projects
4. Drought Response Chahghi (PHPF) (PKR 7.45 million)
· Coordination with Government departments, seeking necessary approvals and establishing drought resilience communities at district level
· Ensuring food security of vulnerable communities by training on kitchen gardening and provision of gardening sets
5. Other Duties
· Lead seasonal interventions (feed the fasting and Qurbani Programme and winterization support) in targeted districts each year
· Developed 72-hour emergency response plan for organization and rolled out with relevant stake holders
· Continuous liaison building, networking and ensuring MAPs representation on several humanitarian forums,
· Leading all emergency response interventions followed by organizational 72 hours response plan to reach out the vulnerable people. Trending emergencies of COVID-19, heat wave, floods and snowfall specially taken care by preplanning of resource mobilization, allocation and implementation of emergency response activities,
· Leading emergency preparedness and response planning by establishing and capacitating Emergency Response Team
· Ensuring disaster preparedness among vulnerable communities by development of IEC material.
